The Opportunity:
As a Senior Application Developer with Roehl Transport, you will have opportunities to contribute on solo projects as well as collaborative team projects, in building business applications for your Roehl teammates. Our proprietary systems are built on Microsoft’s technology stack, including cloud-based solutions. In this position, you will:
- Build and maintain full stack solutions using Roehl’s chosen technologies.
- Participate in peer discussions on architecture, system solutions, and the direction of future applications.
- Ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
- Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Assist in the development of functional policies, procedures, and best practices.
The Experience:
We are looking for someone with:
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
· 4+ years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management
· Proven experience in the development and implementation of software solutions
· Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
· Technically fluent in .NET framework for full stack development
· Experience with modern .NET full stack development is desirable
· Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
· Knowledge of database design and file management techniques
· Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems
· Knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards
· Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
