The Job:

As a Fleet Training Manager you make a difference by assisting newly licensed CDL drivers complete Phase 2 and 3 of our Safety and Job Skills Training Program (SJSTP). 

During Phase 2 new drivers will be in the truck with a Certified Driver Trainer for 26 days. During this Phase you are verifying and validating that the training modules are being followed and that the new driver is effectively applying the training to the job.

During Phase 3 new drivers will run solo. During this Phase you are mentoring your drivers and ensuring that they have synthesized their learning and are able to manage their work on their own. You will validate that they are able to effectively plan their trips, manage their hours of service, operate their equipment safely, and use the onboard technology effectively. Once your driver has met our training expectations, you promote them to our mainstream fleet.

  • Seeing your drivers as unique and special individuals who are separate from the equipment that they operate
  • Meeting their personal needs by using the Key Principles in your interactions
  • Meeting their practical needs by helping them earn a good income, setting expectations, teaching, providing feedback, coaching and other developmental leadership
  • Respecting their time by making sure their time at work is effectively utilized every day

The Experience:

This is an intermediate level position that requires proven leadership experience. No transportation experience is necessary. We will provide you with comprehensive training! This is a great opportunity for someone who has been working in retail management and are interested in making a career change.


The Schedule:

As a Fleet Manager you will work Monday - Friday. Your workday starts at 7:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm.
