As an HR Generalist on TeamRoehl, you make a difference by helping us achieve our key business objectives through supporting leaders' ability to lead their teams, strategic and empathetic employee relations, and collaborative HR project management. Our HR team supports over 2,200 drivers and over 625 driver support roles across multiple states. This makes for a challenging and rewarding opportunity for someone looking to stretch their HR muscles.

As HR Generalist, you work directly with key stakeholders throughout the business to support their hiring and performance management needs and take a proactive, consultative approach to help them achieve their departmental goals and objectives.


The Fit:
You work with leaders and teammembers from across the company to develop performance improvement plans, support the developmental needs of teammembers at all levels, assist with unemployment hearings, as well as FMLA and leave of absence administration, and assist in recruiting and selecting top talent.  You must be able to communicate with a diverse population and have the ability to build trust and credibility through consistent support and delivering results. You must also be able to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing work environment and have the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

Primary and Required Skills:

  • Prior experience as an HR Generalist (or similar) role.
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Employee Relations

  • Employee Engagement

Strongly Preferred:

  • Talent Review (process, tools, and calibration)
  • Project Management discipline
  • CP, PHR or SPHR

We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues and has a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including talent acquisition, employee relations, diversity, performance management, talent management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who has had experience leading complex HR projects and implementing new processes within an organization.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is preferred or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
