The Job:
As an Application SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) you make a difference by working closely with our Application Development and Primary Support DBA teams to enhance SQL Development practices at Roehl. You will:

• Work with Application Architects on efficient Entity Framework designs to generate high-performing SQL
• Work with Application Leads to make application code changes to optimize SQL to remediate SQL Servers errors that are detected through SQL monitoring logs
• Work with Application Leads to make application code changes to optimize SQL to eliminate redundant or inefficient code processes that are affecting key applications
• Work with support DBAs and application owners to implement purge processes for applications complex SQL data models
• Work with Application Architects on performance testing practices in Development and QA environment 
• Design, implement and manage enterprise database solutions for a high-volume production environment to include 24x7 alert monitoring.
• Manage and maintain proper backup, business continuity and disaster recovery procedures according to IT policy.
• Manage and maintain best-practice data, database, and enterprise security.
• Advise management on tactical and strategic operational improvements to enhance operational capabilities and lower costs of delivery.
• Advise on master data best practices.
• Support the SQL Server production environment as part of the combined DBA Team
• Support SQL Server SQL object deployments as part of the application SDLC
